For instance if I want one midi device to be mapped natively
and add another to be used simutaneously (where custom mapping was done)
The idea is as follows:
Use the natively supported device(s) in its original format and used the custom mapped one to perform exclusive assigned function(s) this will make the work space more friendly to the user. For instance I can use the custom mapped device to perform exclusive functions such as video effects control or sound processing/effects alongside with hot cues or transitions.
Just a thought. My 2 cents of what I think will continue to put VDJ way ahead of the game.

I'm assuming you mean two identical MIDI devices, rather than two differing ones?
