Currently, when VDJ analyses the song, it puts there mixpoints for cut and tempo, if suitable. However, it seems to me, it is placed in whatever place.
I suggest:
the cut mixpoints should be placed exactly at the first of four beats in the grid
the tempo mixpoints should be placed little bit before the first of the four beats...it works for me for better alignment.
Also sync button to first beat and not to any beat would improve things.
