I wish it was a effect that does a brake i would say a quick brake that does the normal brake but dont stop the record from going lets say for those who wait to long to deactivate the effect.

almost forgot, I have it mapped as
down ? effect "brake" active on : effect "brake" active off & play
its okay, as in when you lift the button it will play the track, but if you have two tracks running you can still throw the out of time.

Or you could just use a sample of a brake sound and trigger it at the right time...
