Hi I've been djing 20 yrs, 1st on vinyl, then more recently on pioneer cdj's in the clubs. But i thought i'd set up a laptop system just for home. i've got a pionner ddj ergo hooked up to serato. the ergo does control the serato but there's no music. nothing on the headphones, nothing thru the laptop. nothing. not sure where to start so thought i'd ask on here for some advice. I have an internal Realtek soundcard, but not sure if i might need to get an external one. any suggestions?

If you're using Serato software then you need to be asking on the Serato forum.

If you wish to try it out with our software VirtualDJ then you can download VirtualDJ Home FREE from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
Controller support in Home FREE is limited to 10 minutes at a time (It's for mouse/keyboard only.) The full VirtualDJ Professional is required to be able to use controllers, but if your DDJ-Ergo came with VirtualDJ LE (Limited Edition) included then you can use this instead without any time limit, but it has limited features compared with the full Pro - See comprison.)
To configure the sound card in your DDJ-Ergo to work with VirtualDJ, please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/DDJ-ERGO.html
