Ok I know this is an very old and obsolete controller, but I have a dac-2 tucked away and just out of curiosity, I blew the dust of it and set it up to see if it would work, and everything was fine in V7, but V8 wont recognise it at all. in the dropdown list is says its compatable, but not connected, when it is.
Like I said I know its old, and doubt anyone still uses a dac-2, I just thought id put it out there.
V8 rocks well done guys ;)

Are you using a USB 3.0 Port? May be the problem. In W8 and VDJ8 I've played with my DAC-3 & USB 3.0 with no problems but maybe that's the problem with the DAC-2.

It is still a serial-port controller, which are not supported in v8 anymore.
I have heard about the existence of a midi driver for the dac-2, but I have not seen or tried it myself.

No usb 2.0 on a windows 7 machine, I thought the fact that its a serial device might have something to do with it. I have heard of some software that will convert a serial signal into a midi signal, ill will have a look around see whats out there.
