Im playing at an independant music festival at the end of the month and I need to know what I will need for my laptop to be used with VDJ8. The provided equipment will be Pioneer CDJ2000Nexus and DJM900Nexus.

You will need to have the drivers for the CDJ2000 pre-installed in your computer. Better have the instalaltion file somewhere in yoru computer in case you will need to re-install them there.
Other than that, the CDJ2000 should be plug n play and pre-mapped. Once version 8 is launched, it will offer you a special button in the Audio tab to create an audio setup with an external mixer (deck 1 ... CDJ2000 ASIO ..ch 1,2 /deck 2 ..CDJ2000 ASIO .. ch 3.4)
Connect the CDJ2000 with RCAs to your mixer and you will be fine.
The software will also probably recognize the mixer as a MIDI device (if connected with USB), so if you need to play videos too you can map the crossfader of the unit as video_crossfader
