Is anyone else having trouble scratching with DDJ SR?
When I use serato it scratches fine, but with VDJ 8 there is like a delay when I let go of the platter.

The software by default waits until the platter completely stops spinning (back) before continuing again.
You can try the setting .. TouchWheelBackspin to No, or you can adjust your scratching techniques to push the wheel a bit forward before releasing that.

If you consider this as a "problem", then every single midi controller has that :)
