I can't play videos thru VDJ7 on my mac book pro can someone please help.

Version7 needs a Mac with a extra videocard, or better a videocard with dedicated videoram.
If you use 10.7 or higher, please try to use version8.
Normaly the all MBP from 2010 and higher should have no problems with version8.
I'm sure it will give you a better result then with version7.
