Videos and Sonique switching from a video to sonique when I go from a video to a mp3 can't get it to work on my new HP laptop windows 8 worked fine on windows 7 would always switch from one to other pleaase help very frustrating

Are you using VDJ7 or VDJ8?
In 8 you should be looking for audioOnlyVisualisations in the advanced options.

I would also take a look at Milkdrop if you haven't yet. To me it is a much better option.
