I recently upgraded my CDJ900's to the newer CDJ900NXS. I use the same HID setup as before but on the CDJ900NXS there is a 'glitch' where the track skips periododically. Is there a latency issue of some sort? I have all software/HW up to date and this issue is the same on 2 seperate laptops running VDJ8.
Can you offer some advice on this? It runs perfectly on the older CDJ900.

Are you using the built-in soundcard?

Yes using the soundcard in the CDJ900NXS in HID mode. Same setup as I had with the CDJ900 previously and it worked flawlessly. Now when playing some tracks seem to skip every now and again. It sounds unprofessional and can mess up your mix occasionally.

I don't own these units, but it's likely that there is a bug related to some HID units.
At least, that's what I read somewhere and the devs know about the issue.

So would you say this is a HW or FW issue with Pioneer?

I would say this is not a bug, it probably happens to you when playing at a high volume or bassy environment.
The vibrations are causing your players to send weird midi messages just like a turntable would except you'd get a bouncing needle.
