Can anyone tell me how to use the ignore drives calculator?

You just check all the drive letters you don't want to be used by VDJ.
Take the calculated number and paste it to the VDJ's "ignoreDrives" setting.

not working in build 3398 for me or maybe i don't understand how it works .. does it actually hide the drive or does it just not ever add anything from there to the database?
if it supposed to hide the drive from sight that isn't working.

It just ignores any entries to the database.

It only prevents a database on that drive to be read or written.
If you do decide to access the drive and it finds songs there, they will still be added to the database stored on the master drive (typically your documents folder on c drive)

It doesn't matter where you store this app. It is a stand-alone application with no connection to VDJ.
It does only calculate some numbers like:
A=1, B=2, C=4, D=8 ...
If you decide to ignore drives B and D the programm will display you 10.
Just click on the setup.exe and it will install the programm to a location of your choice.
