Topic: 4th deck Volume fader bugging

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi there.
I noticed my Numark NV's volume fader in the 4th deck it's not triggering like the other faders, because when on my controller is set to the max, in VDJ is set to about 1/4 of the fader. So the music has a very low volume and everytime i have to adjust the fader from the PC. I went to the mapping settings and noticed every fader has only 'volume' script written in the textbox, so I don't know how to fix it.
Thank you in advance.

Faulty hardware (the NV) probably.

You should try looking at the MIDI data sent by your faders, using a MIDI monitoring tool.

The name for this is fader bleed, back in the analogue days, when a fader came to to the end of it's life, the carbon track of the fader degraded.
And old school sound on the track, or newer vca would lead to the sound bleeding thru,

You can avoid this with capacitive or inductive faders, (no contact thus no degradation) also optical faders but sweat and smoke can ballz them up.
