VDJ is auto beat matching & auto key matching, often making the vocals sound funny. Am I missing something here? Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT

Thanks, for the info, but that's not it. It only does it when connected too my controller. If it was that feature, wouldn't it do it without being hooked to a controller?

So, it happens as soon as you load the 1st Track ( u see Key and/or BPM change) , or when you press PLAY ?
Happens during your mix at some point ?
The controller mapping doesnt force/change any of the VDJ settings, so check the following..
- setting autoKey is Off
- You are not pressing KEYLOCK. This would turn Master Tempo Off and would change the key of the Track while the tempo is changed ( https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddj1000srt/layout/decks.html Nr. 47)
- You are not using KEY SYNC (Nr. 48) - matches the Key of the other Track.
- You are not using SHIFT+KEYSYNC or SHIFT+KEYLOCK (they change the Track's key)
and most important, try with the factory default mapping , in case you have modified something by mistake.
