Topic: Setting hotcues at a negative time
Trying to find a solution for this.

For a song that doesn't have a DJ mixable intro, I like to mix the record in headphones on the downbeat and get the beats lined up, then do a beatjump backwards 32 beats (before the start of the track) with the fader up so that it starts perfectly on the downbeat of the old song.

I'd like to set hotcues at this -32 beat marker so that I can just start from there and sync without having to do the pre-mix each time, but VDJ won't let me set a point before 0.

Is there a way to do this?

can add a HC upto -7.0
loadpoint/cue1 @ -1.001
action point @ -1.0, action call loop out fx
press play 1 beat early

Thank you for that. Is there anything I can do to get some sort of video output on the screen pre-zero? On transitions that display the new video (ie the satellite, grid, scrolling slice, window, etc), it just shows the first frame frozen. Would be nice if it could show the Shader plugin or loop back around to the end of the video.

Or just loop the video before and press que at the mix point

@charliebuddrocker
you can't place a loopin point before the track start

Sorry for my English. I mean loop a beat somewhere in the song or in the end to have a video to show before the actual mix point, have the fader up, gain down and at the mix point press que and gain up.
