my audio configuration is this, my controller is connected to the PC only with the USB cable, the music is managed by the "music" sound card
virtualdj autogain is on, this is what I get in obs, a distorted sound
this is what I see from virtual dj, the volumes seem correct, this is the maximum peak
I set the zerodb to -6 and I got this result, the sound is clean
this is what virtualdj tells me now, it's as if the volumes are halfway, this doesn't worry me, it feels good and works well, I ask you, did I do the right thing? Do I have alternatives to this solution?
unfortunately I come from rekorbox where I didn't have this type of problem but I am very satisfied with the characteristics of virtualdj to the point of having chosen it as a work tool, there are things that I don't understand why they were done in a certain way, but it can all be solved with time, thanks for the support!

With Gain at middle (not like in your pic), you should be ok, but sometimes the VDJ Limiter may apply.
Setting zeroDB at -3 or -6 will give you more headroom and avoid Limiter engaging much.
