Hi All..
Been using VDJ for a couple years now. Decided to do some customization.
I have a DDJ-FLX6-GT and a NI Audio 4 DJ sound card where I input TC Vinyl from Technics 1200.
Generally I have been mixing on decks 1&2, and just set up Deck 3 for scratching. That was pretty easy and works well. In this mode, I'm left handed so scratching happens with the crossfader hamster. I did map a button to toggle that if I want to.
I'd now like to try being able to control any of the available decks with my one TC Vinyl (one at a time).
So I customized the deck command as follows:
action_deck 1 ? leftdeck & deck 1 timecode_active 3 on & deck 2 timecode_active 3 off & deck 3 timecode_active 3 off & deck 4 timecode_active 3 off : action_deck 2 ? rightdeck & deck 2 timecode_active 3 on & deck 1 timecode_active 3 off & deck 3 timecode_active 3 off & deck 4 timecode_active 3 off : action_deck 3 ? leftdeck & deck 3 timecode_active 3 on & deck 2 timecode_active 3 off & deck 1 timecode_active 3 off & deck 4 timecode_active 3 off : action_deck 4 ? rightdeck & deck 4 timecode_active 3 on & deck 2 timecode_active 3 off & deck 3 timecode_active 3 off & deck 1 timecode_active 3 off
Basically....the above maps the incoming timecode to the deck I select with the deck buttons on the controller.
So far so good.
Now I'd like crossfader_hamster to follow along.
I tried adding the " & crossfader_hamster" command to the action_deck 1 and action_deck 3 actions...
but I'm not having any luck.
Maybe I need to query the state? and make a change only if necessary?
I couldn't figure out the syntax for that. So if you have a clue, I'd appreciate it!
