This might be a bit of an edge case but I'm wondering if it's possible. I'm going to be playing a gig where we'll have use of a projector and all I really need is the ability to run audio-reactive visualizer/shaders driven from the laptop's microphone. I wont actually be using VDJ for DJ'ing since I'll be using one of the other DJ's Pioneer standalone.
I was looking for software that serves exactly this purpose, found Synesthesia, but it's quite expensive and it occurred to me that VDJ has these visualizers built in, but it only seems to work with audio actually being played on the decks.
Is there any way to have it driven off of a different input? Or can it only be used with audio being played on the decks?

Add a line input to your audio config, and axrivate the line input on a deck
