Topic: Synced samples
I downloaded build 8729 as I picked up the Rane one mk2. Everything worked great aside from the synced samples. I noticed the latest build (8752) had -Fix sync-start for samples not working with drop. I installed that version and samples still don't work.

Not only does the sample not get triggered, but I can no longer access the sample edit screen. The sample is an unusable item in the UI now.

Had anyone else experienced this, is this a known issue or should build 8752 fix it? Because it didnt...

I even downgraded to 8678 which I was using before and the synced samples don't work either, but not 100%sure if the worked correctly before I upgraded to 8729.

Here is a pic; the siren, air raid siren, hands up, and shots are all unusable.

I saw the other post regarding sampler sync and it notes that disconnecting the controller and playing through the PC only solves the issue, however the samples are still unusable for me even when running VDJ with no controller connected.
 
Any update here? Had a look at my desktop on b8752 (which never had a controller connected) and also does not have those same 4 synced samples working.

I cna confirm b8769 fixed the problem (at least when I tested it with my DDJ 1000).

That build is currently Early Access, but will probably be released soon (barring any other serious issue with it).
 
Thanks for that. I just downloaded and tested on my desktop (with no controller connected) and those 4 samples still dont work for me. I cannot trigger the sampler pad (as shown in my previous screenshot) or access the sample edit screen.

The odd part is 3 out of the 4 which are not working for me are stock VDJ samples. They are not ones which I am adding myself. How can I get the embedded VDJ samples to work as they have for years now?
 
If they don't play or open the editor then most likely the source files are actually missing
 
You are spot on, and I have no idea how that happened. When I search for the underlying files within the file explorer sampler folder, I dont see them. I added one back from an old backup and its works as expected..

Thank you adion! Now to figure out how they got deleted...
