Hello VirtualDJ community,
I’d like to bring up a recurring issue regarding the VU meter, which isn't precise enough.
To explain: compared to Serato and Rekordbox—which are extremely precise with musical levels (once you set the level just below clipping, it barely fluctuates)—VirtualDJ requires constant level adjustments. It’s never accurate; sometimes it hits the red (clipping), and other times the level is off...
I would really appreciate it if the developers could look into this to provide a more stable and precise VU meter.

Please learn about how the Autogain, the Limiter and headroom works and how Gain staging is done in VirtualDJ (using headroom setting (zeroDB) and setting your gain levels properly - it's not something the average Serato user is accustomed to (most don't even know the autogain headroom setting even exists in Serato)).

There isn't anything inherently wrong with the readout, once you take the time to learn how to gain stage properly.
