I just got my console today, and am having HELL with the buttons. The cue button is possesed. Sometimes i tap it and it plays as long as i hold it down, and the snaps back to cue point. other times however, it continues on for another couple bars after i release it. The play button also varies in its responsiveness. Is this specific to my console or is this a general issue?

Either your setup is incorrect or the console is faulty. Normally: one tap makes the track start. It is true that the buttons are 'hard' and need strong tapping. But they work.

Since you just got your console,
-I suggest you update your console's firmware first at

-then update drivers at
http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=2&fid=28&pid=143&cid=1
There is also a driver update (v1.09) available for Virtual DJ which comes with the DJ Console.
