I am running a 1.5g tower with 512 ram and a 128 video card. Everything skips real bad when fading between videos. I don't mind buying a larger video card or more ream but no computer right now so I wanted to run an older version for video to see if it works better. Where can I download it from?

The main problem is when both songs are playing at the same time. Or the mix, etc. Will the processor handle it with more ram and a more ram video card? or is the processor one of the problems too?

try this
on performance options try setting step 1
and choose autolatency
and untick safe and overclock.
getting more ram would be a good step as it will help speed up the system overal.

Are you talkin automix??? If so try moving the Audio crossfader then clicking on the preview window of the video you want to transition to. Make sure the Audio and Video crossfaders aren't linked. I know that it is jumpy if you just hit Automix. That is why I so them seperately. Also if you have to use automix put it on a transition that doesn't appear to be jumpy (ie satelite boom). Try that and let me know.
Also gettin that puppy up to 2 gig ram will help

I'm gonna try everything on Sat. I downloaded a 800x600 simple video skin too to try.
Discobrian24, do use an external mixer for your audio then? Also, how do you hit start and video fade to try to have a smoth video transition?
Also, since my laptop seems better, I'm gonna borrow a 512 stick from another laptop with the same ram just to try before I spend money.
thanks

I ran my laptop for 18 hours using automix running vob video files. All fades are in sync with no skipping and the music matches the video. I was using the velosity skin at 800x600. I'm running a 1.6 pentium m processor with 1g ram and a nvidia 64 mg video card. Dell laptop.
It seems if I use the VDJ video skin I get video freezing using automix.
