I've seen MTR mentioned around these forums quite a bit, but when I go to www.mactheripper.org, the site appears to be down. Does anyone know if you can still get that program? Are there any alternate download areas?

You can get the latest release of mac the ripper but you'll need to make a donation of about $35.00 through paypal to the owner. Do a google search for mac the ripper and I think his new website is called ripdifferent.com or something like that. Sign up and then once you log onto his site, you'll have to email him privately to get his email address for payment.
Let me say it isnt easy to get him but the new version works best on intel macs.
