Can we have a good list of EXTERNAL Controllers working fine with VDJ on MAC?
- Hercules MK2 MAC
- Hercules MK2 PC (Works with MAC drivers?)
- BCD 2000 (seems there's not MAC drivers)
- BCD 3000 (compatible with PC and MAC, comes on April)

Are you sure?
I remember 100 € price difference between Mac and Windows versions.
Anyway, I hope it true as I would like to use my DJC with my iBook.

100% confirmed via testing? I thought there was something in the FIRMWARE that was different.

Interesting Question.... Remember when you buy the Hercules DJ Consol, it comes with the Consol Version of Virtual DJ ONLY. It does not come with the Pro Version and it is ONLY for Windows. The Mac version is for Pro Users only for now.
HOWEVER, When you purchase the Hercules Consol, you can by the Pro version of Virtual DJ with a discount. I believe (in US money) the pro version is $299 by itself, and $249 with the discount. Then you can get your hands on the Mac Version of VDJ. :-)
I tried the Mk2 for PC last night on the Mac with Virtual DJ, and it worked preaty good. :-)
But yes you can now use the Hercules Consol for PC with a MAC. I noticed when you do that, with other software, you have to either download the mapping for it, or you have to map it yourself. (Like with Tractor and MegaSeg)
Theoreticly it's not right now because, you would have to pay $249 for the consol and plus more for the DJ software that works on Mac. The Mac consol comes with Tractor I think.

But if you have BootCamp on an intel Mac, you can run the Consol version of Virtual DJ for Windows on a Mac? From what I've seen a lot of MAc users are doing that and it's running preaty good that way.

At any case, having to pay the UPGRADE to PRO (with discount)...
If you want to use VirtualDJ with MK2 and MAC:
- You can buy Hercules MK2 for PC
- Upgrade to PRO user
- Use the MK2 MAC drivers.
Always the final solution will be cheaper (about $100.00).
Let's take AMAZON as reference:
$249.00 MK2 for PC
$349.00 MK2 for MAC

If you upgrade to Pro User, you still have to pay another $249 ..
So your paying $249 for the Consol and $249 to upgrade... so in the end $498.
The Mac Consol comes with Mac software already (just not Virtual DJ)
If you want Virtual DJ, then yes it is cheaper.
But Im sure eventually, since the Mac Version is out (of VDJ), it will change.

I have an Hercules DJ Console Mk 1 (the 1st version). When I bought it, it was for Windows. I think Mac was not supported at this time.
I've installed my vdj on my MacBook. It works fine except well known font problem.
Nevertheless I performed audio and video mix without major issue.
Now, I tried to connect my Hercule DJC and try to apply firmware upgrade with the Mac Driver provided by Hercules. I installed the Mac Driver without any problem. But I wasn't able to connect the console to the Mac.
Does somebody upgraded his Hercule DJ Console 1, from Win to Mac? Is there any trick?

I hope this is wrong, but if anyone can verify from support,
Its NOT compatible.
On hercules FAQ site it says-
Is Hercules DJ Console Mac-compatible?
No, Hercules DJ Console only functions with Windows PCs (98SE, Millennium, 2000, XP).
We are currently studying the prospect of a DJ Console for Mac OS X, but it would not use the same hardware as the PC version.
I sure hope i am wrong. If not, anyone want a PC console?
