Well, it depends really on what you're using.
Biggest influence on your sound settings will be the hardware you are using. IE, do you use TCV's, XP10's etc? Or just an audio controller like a DAC.
The only hardware I use is a DAC 3 which bears no relevance on the sound setup. All i have is a 5.1 internal soundcard. I have my setup as follows:
Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer
Soundcards: 4.1 Card
From the back of my soundcard, I have 1 output going to one channel in my mixer, and another output going to a second channel in my mixer. This splits the sound into two different decks.
If you are using XP10's, TCV's etc, the setup is a bit more complicated. Also there are more demands placed on the soundcard you need...you'll be need one with ASIO support. If you do a search round the boards, you can find details of the best soundcard to use for your setup.
Also, check out DJ Socross's latest video on setting up TCV's if you use these. It's very informative...and really quite funny....(",) Good luck.
