I've noticed that VirtualDJ seems to have trouble with some VOB files that use PCM audio. I've sent one of the files I was having trouble with to the developers some time back so the problem should eventually be fixed.

In the meantime, remux the VOB to have AC3 or MP2 or even MP3 audio and it should work fine.

Hey, I've had the same problem sk8ter315. I can play my .vobs in vlc but it says error when I load them in cue. Mine also play in vlc so I don't think it's anything to do with my .vobs being corrupt. I wonder if this is just another issue with the mac version.

Anyway, I wouldn't convert your .vobs because maybe the problem will be fixed with the latest update.

I think Charlie Five is having the same problem as well.

I'm gonna try and play the .vobs in my pc version and I'll get back to you.

Alright, so I tried the same exact .vob files in my pc version of cue and they worked perfectly. As far as the PCM audio, none of my .vobs use this format anyway. So the problem is with this mac version of cue.

Uhhhh....I think I'm getting sick.

Will there be an update that fixes this issue.?

Oh... and I am a licensed but I'm having trouble with starting a new profile. Not getting an email confirmation.

go to edit your profile and put your serial in (the same one you need to get your VDJ/cue to run)

Yea im gettin sick too..lol, i work for an entertainment company and they all use virtual with pc, i bust there balls because they run into problems here in there, not typically with virtual but, you kow what i mean, PC's are freakin wierd. Now it seems like karma kicked in :(, now i have problems worse then them, i can't play certain vob's, i can't download effects, etc. Certain vob's have artifacts, my cube transition is glitchy..OH BOY, Give me an updateeeeee PLEASE!!!, i have faith, just gotto be patient

DJ XEO I'm trying to start a new profile though with my dj name. It sucks you can't just change your log in name.

It's hard to be patient when you've just spent alot of cash on a program that doesn't do what it's suppose to do. (Play vob and mpeg 4.)

The only reason I bought vv was to dj videos. If mp3s are the only files that work then I'll just use my serato. I can understand the software having a few bugs, since its still new, but this is ridiculous.

Yea i hear ya, i actually got an event this weekend where i need to use videos and im a little nervous virtual is gonna crap out on me, i wish i could download a slideshow plug-in or sonique so i can post photos and play video effects when if im playing a song i dont have a video for :( i might just have to go ghetto style and use a dvd player..sh*t

Thank god I don't have any scheduled gigs to do video yet. I do have several spots that are interested in paying me big money to dj videos, but their interested are fading every week when I say, "almost ready". Maybe it's time to consider running bootcamp. At least until the wrinkles are ironed out of the mac version.

Dherm is Donnie Blaze :: A fellow DJ from Chicago. He works with me at Visualize Chicago. We've been messing with different formats and trying to tweak Virtual Vinyl to fit our needs. Talk about current disapointment...Ive been anticipating the MAC release for like 8 months. Ive Invested in the Virtual Vinyl, Total Control, and a ton of Music Videos. I'm not talking $300 bucks I'm talking G's. I've got meetings with club owners all week but most of my video collection won't work because of this .vob problem. And I'm getting this archiving thing. I do not want to convert my videos to a lower quality. I own the current best MAC lappy and equipment. The problem lies within the software (well the MAC version).

Is there going to be an update soon? :: frustrated :(

Yo sk8ter,

So I was messin with my vobs and this ripper program called cinematize for mac and I discovered that when you decode the vob to a quicktime file it works in cue. The good news is that the file remains uncompressed. The bad news is that it takes about 4min per video to complete the decoding. This is probably the route that I will take, you should check it out. Maybe you can convert your videos in time for your next gig.

Yea i got cinematize, its not bad..just very time consuming..thanx for the tip..As far as donwloading bootcamp..i promised myself to never use pc/windows ever again, g*d forbid something happens to my music and years of archiving..cross my fingers.lol.. i feel everyones pain on this issue

If you guys think that 4 minutes of encoding time per video (essientially realtime) is time consuming, prepare to be really disapointed in H.264 encoding times, when you finally figure out that's the best format (and when VDJ finally supports the format). Without hardware accelerated H.264 encoding, it takes a *very* long time to encode H.264 with a PC and software only.
