Topic: How do you mix the Audio when doing Video?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I guess this asks a few questions.

What type of videos do you use? MTV style/Radio edits? or 12"/Extended versions? are such lengthy versions available?

The only video demos I've seen are those where regular MTV Hip Hop videos are played, transitioning with scratching. I've not really seen much in the way of beat mixing or Dance music.

I'm thinking about getting into Video, but not if the Audio mix is the cost as this remains to be more important than screening videos.

Well, I use promo only videos, club series have video mixes included, I also use etv network videos and vj tools that include video mix as well, in addition I edit some dance video mixes (extended versions) on my own to use them with vdj; I mostly use random video transition plugin in order to vary the transitions with every single mix :)

I make my own 8 bar intros to all my videos and mix videos just like i do audio.

I will always mix the audio and then just use the crossfader to make the video transition. I believe that most people will not notice a 3 second video transition that happens after the music has been mixed in a good fashion. They will always hear a bad audio mix.

I mix the audio on a standard mixer. The about when the crossfader is about half way across, I hit the video mix button on my DMC2.

You can do the same without a dmc - just click the preview window and VDJ does a nice fade for you.
