Topic: Sample's problem

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

hi,

i was wondering if anyone knew how to set up the samples so that the sequence is not "play. stop" when you hit f1 twice. instead i want the sequence to be "play. play".

allow me to elaborate this point with an example: say, for instance i have a "beeeepppp" sample loaded in the f1 slot. this means, if i press f1 one time it plays the "beeeepppp" sample, if however, i press it again quickly, without letting the sample finish (i.e half way through, so at like "beee"), it does not just start the sample from the begining, instead, it just stops it. this is the problem.

i want to know if there is a way to get the samples to just start over everytime you press f1, or any of the effects buttons. that 2 seconds pause between the sample totally kills the effect if you want play a sound like "BeeeBeeeBeeeeppppp" (hope that didnt just confuse anyone)... currently, if you try to get that effect out of your sample it would sound like "beee...beee...beeeppppp". (unless you have crazy fast hands, but even then there will still be a pause between the "bee...bee" part, it would just be a bit less like "bee.bee.beeepppp")

i remember the older versions allowed this, which is why i loved the samples on the program so much. this is especially important for hiphop/reggae dj's.

also, i have tried to change the settings to "momentarily/temporarily" which does solve the problem of the "play. stop" dilemma. that is, it reacts perfectly. the only problem at that point is the fact that you must keep you hand on the f1 button if you want the entire sample to play, but thats an even bigger problem because i do not have the time to hold the button while mixing out of a track (nor do i have the extra hand to waste on holding the sample button down). i just want there to be no pauses and to have the sample play on its own when i stop pressing the f1 button.

sorry if this was a bit confusing or too long, but its hard to convey sounds in text.

thanks in advance for any help,
bobby
