there was a site called 'record labels on the web', but they lost their database and the backup so it's not working anymore. this is also a good one, but very comprehensive so it takes a long time to cover it all...

very nice work. if i could make one suggestion. in you iframe that you have the list of the labels, take the header column out of the iframe and put it in the parent page. that way the header is always visible and you dont have to scroll up and down to see what columns mean.

Thanks, I work about this to optimize the accessibility, not easy, and i try iframe recently because google put me a sandbox penality then i have this list on the parent page... !
I note the meaning of the colum is not easyly comprehensive, thanks.
I facts each colum each dedicaced for one genre, and the meaning of this genre you can see if you put your mouse one second on a picture genre, or you can see on the left colum the meaning.
I have this week rebuild the menu on the left colum and now i make an actualisation of the database must be on line in two weeks i thinks.

(and i have a copy of this database on my computer ;-) )

oh man i just understand your idea, to make the table of colum on the parent site, sorry english difficult for me, but your idea is EXCELLENT, i make this this night ! gracias !

yes, the legend on the side is perfectly fine to see what genre it is. the heading now looks perfect. good job m8.

btw, what is this project for? is this personal, or for school? i looked through the site, but did not find many labels that i play.

Since the site is in French, i could not read why is this netlabels only? And what is definition of netlabel? is it label that has website or sells through internet? Im just curious.

If you will keep developing this, then i have a few more suggestions:

1) the dropdown menus push whole screen down. for long dropdown menu, the screen is pushed far and movement of content looks funny. i did not look at the code. you can find menu code using CSS instead of tables, and z-layer would be above content, so it does not move
2) list of netlabels could be bigger. iframe is quite small. not a problem but only 13 rows visible at once. site now normally set to screensize of 1024x768, not anymore 800x600
3) small usability problem. when you change font size to big, text in menu begins to hide. suggest that CSS uses em sizes for TR height. that way things get bigger with text.
4) have a check with http://validator.w3.org. page brings at least 200 minor errors. but for best google search, you need 100% clean xhtml.
- <img> tag needs to end '<img..../>'
-remove bgcolor= from all tags and use CSS class instead (less page code too)
-<br> tag needs to end '<br/>'

That should fix most errors, then second check of errors is much clearer. most times, bad tag ending means other errors generated for no reason because parser gets confused

im not being critical, but my work is doing exactly this. i like your site, so i give more suggestion if you continue working on it.
