What are you actually after? In essence, you just install VS, create a bare DLL project, include the relevant files and away you go.
I did however actually start writing a basic get-up-and-running tutorial around the express version of VS 2008 and creating a basic plugin....
Regards,
Scott

I'm just having problems with the location of header files...
Had it working fine on my old system but that was XP and vs2005...

Are you sure you have well checked the "win32" option for C++ language during the installation?
And do you have the Windows SDK with your version of Visual Studio 2008 ?
I haven't downloaded Visual Studio 2008 yet so I can't help you more for the moment.
