Templates
The Novation Launch Control XL offers 16 different MIDI Templates (pages) - 6 Factory and 6 User ones - which can be selected by pressing the FACTORY or the USER Templates button and 1 of the 8 Track Control buttons.

FACTORY TEMPLATES 1 to 8
These 8 Factory Templates are pre-defined in VirtualDJ but only Templates 1 and 2 are pre-assigned to VirtualDJ functions and their functionality is explained in following chapters.
Templates 3 to 8 are left unassigned for customization.
Hold the FACTORY Template button down and then press one of the 8 Track Control buttons to select Factory Template 1 to 8.
Note, that the Factory Templates cannot be changed within the Novation Editor
USER TEMPLATES 1 to 8
These 8 User Templates are pre-defined in VirtualDJ but none is pre-assigned to VirtualDJ functions and can be customized to your needs, as long as they are loaded with the default templates. In case different MIDI Channels/Notes/CC are defined from the Novation Editor , their MIDI keys may not be recognized from VirtualDJ
Hold the USER Template button down and then press one of the 8 Track Control buttons to select User Template 1 to 8.
