I keep reading posts regarding crashes, issues, freezings etc and most of users are expecting version 8 to magically solve all the issues. That is not true. Any released version, including ver 7.3 have been tested and working fine with all the supported controllers, especially with the ones that come with VirtualDJ LE version.
If you are experiencing any issues, you first need to make sure that its not your own computer. Even if you have the strongest computer in the market, that doesnt mean that u dont have to optimize it for best performance. So please follow this guide and see if it fixes any of your issues...
PC .. http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common%20PC%20Performance%20Issues.html
MAC .. http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common%20Mac%20Performance%20Issues.html
Also have in mind that a bad USB cable may be the reason of miss-function or loss of commnunication/connection.
Some devices do not work properly when plugged to a 3.0 USB port, so it is preferable to use a 2.0 USB port or a USB hub 2.0
Most of the midi controllers dont come with proper MIDI drivers. The drivers sometimes are only for the Sound Card (ASIO drivers). In that case, its up to Windows to properly detect the device, and we ve seen lot of times conflicting with a web camera, a bluetooth device or a Logiteck hardware. http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/143706/Hardware_Technical_Support/MIDI_device_not_detected____.html
So before start wondering if VirtualDJ has any bugs, make sure you have followed all the above. When we do tests in our Lab we dont have 3 Antivirus softwares, 12 different applications running on the background and 45 different drivers installed for the same unit.
Also, most of the manufactures that have approved our software to be bundled with their products are testing them to a fresh installation of Operating system. Even if that sounds weird to you, if you are a professional dj, you dont use the same laptop to play music live, surf the Internet, play games and create MS Office files.

Any one m know what to do when it says error asio driver.
geposted Fri 08 Mar 13 @ 8:15 am
Normally means that you have started virtual dj before turning on your wego. you need to turn on the wego first then start your dj software

NOT TRUE! What is quoted is this users' OPINION/Experience with the unit.
I have used my Wego in club environments performing 6-7 hour sets with NO issues! Yes, in the beginning I did have an issue in regards to audio pops when mixing videos but that was solved by connecting the controller to a powered USB hub (even though the manual states it will not work) then the hub into the laptop.
I am using the controller with a 6-year old Dell Inspiron laptop Win XP service pack 2 VDJ version 7.2.

then why do not pioneer state to use a powered uisb hub ????? its rubbish there so many people having issues with the ddj wego and pc with widndows,,,, i have tried it with 2 different laptops and with no programs running in the background, tell me more dude ?

Perhaps wipe your computer, format the drive, and re-install a fresh copy of windows then VDJ?
You mentioned VDJ crashing...does it happen on the same audio/video file? Does it happen when the controller is not connected?
Think of trying a trial-n-error with different ways to narrow down the issue?
Have you reached out with VDJ customer support (not posting on here)? Have you reached out to Pioneer support? I personally don't have much respect for Pioneer support as they kept telling me to install the LE version as they know that would work perfectly. I took the initiative to narrow down the issue myself and I'm glad I did as it has been a solid controller for me to where I re-mapped a lot of buttons so I can make the controller perform more how I want it to.
I've hosed my DJ laptop twice over the last 6 years. The first time was when I first got the unit as I did not want all the bloatware on it. I then went through the VDJ recommended tweaks to windows. NO ISSUES. Have you done the same?
Perhaps it's a Win 7 issue...I don't know I can't verify any issues with it as, as I previous stated, I'm running Win XP SP2.
BTW: You cannot SELL anything on the forum!

I want a MBP too and I am doing my calculations to see how long it would take me to pay cash for it. :) I'm not having any issues with my current laptop so right now it would be a waste. Like even buying a Windows laptop I'm still taking a risk hoping there will not be any issues.
