Topic: Greatest Digital Equipment

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi there all.

Just wanted to get an idea of peoples thoughts about the greatest digital addition to their music for my essay.

If you DJ, Produce music or just listen to the stuff, what do you think is the best piece of equipment, software or gadget you own or want in terms of how much its impacts your set/life.

e.g. something thats made life easier, makes your set sound better or just something you really enjoy using.

Any views will be much appreciated, as i can use all of it as primary research, but ideally a product name, and a brief reason why you like it would be great.

Thanks alot in advance.

have a look at this post on general forum "I don't get it...." that answers one or two questions from me, just to get you started....

dbx Driverack.

Best piece of equipment I ever purchased.

All inclusive as far as speaker management, compressor, limiter, gate, crossover, EQ all in one unit.

Love it.

Here you go duble F, got to be the Techinics SL1200/1210 turntable

My mother brought me a pair for my 21st Birthday. I've enjoyed using them for 12 years, and I think I'll always will.

To me and many others they are a symbol of DJ'ing, since 1978, and you can't fault that!!!!!!

Whats Up Big Jim.... That table looks soo sweet... Cant wait to get another pair..

Jim, as an ex 1210 user for 10 years i know the deck but I just bought some STR8 150's and there miles better if your still doing timecode or playing proper records get your 1210 sold on ebay and get some 150's you wont regret it.

I guess VDJ is a given :) Seriously though, when I found it and read what it could do, I couldn't sleep well for like two days! lol It has revolutionized my set-up.

I don't want to mess up you're forum, but I was searching for some time-code answers and your post came up. PLEASE someone help me know the best, cleanest, and most cost effective set-up to get going on time code. I've already decided on the Stanton ST-150's. I have the BCD2000. I emailed VDJ staff, and he told me that the BCD200 was junk and that I don't want to use it for time-code. Is there a really good "all-in-one" sound card/controller/time-code interface solution? If not, what do I need? I'm mobile. I need some sort of controller if I can't use the BCD2000. You're welcome to email me at ----------@gmx.com if you want to keep the post clean. Thanks a MILLION!! I Need help for real!
