I would not recommend against the MAC version but the PC version is more solid. Also not all add-ons currently work on the mac side. Being a MAC user I currently use VDJ on a windows machine.

Check out www.ibuypower.com and just custom make what you want on there. That way you can get everything you want and it's cheaper than buying a brand name like Sony or something.

HI DJS I HAVE CUESTION ABOUT MAC I NEDD GEYT VIDEO EFFECT LIKE PC HOW I GET IT FOR MAC I MIX VIDEOS THANKS

Not many effects are available for Mac at the moment. You will have to be patient until some more are either ported for Windows or made for Mac.

I just got a Fujitsu A6120 Lifebook. It works as good as my desktops.....but of course it still has that slight freezing problem with some videos as the new one is loading but it is equivalent to my desltops so I'll live with it (although strangely my "Kinks - Really Got Me" which usually freezes my gig computer for almost 1-1/2 minutes loads WITHOUT and freezing on the new laptop...voodo I tell ya, it's all voodoo!).

The new lappy is running Vista so changing the operating system had no effect on the freezing problem..........it is a core 2 duo 2.14 with generic intel 946 video card with 1.9 gig memory shared, S-Video Out, 3 gig ram, 1280x800 screen....changing the video card had no correction for the freezing.

I haven't done a show with it yet but it scanned and bpm's my entire video library of alost 1tb without a hitch and it ran the auto mix for about an hour again without any interuptions. I will use it for my St Patricks Gig Tuesday, but have my regular system there just in case.

Hey the price was right only $749.00

Try turning autocue off and see if it still freezes.

saw this advice in another thread by cel, make sure decode while hidden is ticked, you'll find it in the config > video tab.

Hi everyone, i am using acer aspire 6930 ( geforce 9600m gt 1Giga memo, core duo 2,0, 4 Giga RAM) running on XP so i am using only 3 Giga RAM and it is working fine for me with Total control and Numark CUE

yeah, did all the tried and true stuff. When Autocue is off it won't freeze while loading but as soon as you select a cue point it will freeze while cueing to it.

As I mentioned in another thread since the freezing seems to happen in conjunction with cue points (when loading with auto cue is on, when cuing to a selected cue point, when looping and when you "jump" to a cue point) I think maybe VDJ should look at the problem being something with the way it searches for and accesses cue points......just a thought

Funny thing I noticed when cueing yesterday, is that if I let that 2nd video completely load and then cue the track I got no freezes what so ever.

Nope, it will load fine, but as soon as I jump to a cue it will freeze.
