Topic: Annoyance in searching these forums

When searching for anything in these forums, the "More results exist. Refine your search with more words to narrow the result set" message appears at the bottom. So when I refine the search, the same message will appear yet again. This makes the task of searching these forums very time consuming.

Is there any reason for having it this way? Maybe you can increase the filtering so we can scroll through more results? (i.e. if more than 10,000 results appear, then you are required to refine the search)

yes, the search can be improved.

Most people can agree that google is a pretty powerful search engine. I've seen sites that use google's search capabilites for their searches. Not sure if this can be applied to the VDJ Forum search.

But, in the meantime, you can try this trick with google.

In the google search box, type in whatever it is you are trying to find on the VDJ Forum, and then add this after it: site:virtualdj.com/forums

i.e.- you want to search for timecode vinyl and mk2. google the following: timecode vinyl mk2 site:virtualdj.com/forums

This narrows google's search to only the pages that fall under www.virtualdj.com/forums.

You can do this for any web site.
