Could you point me to this basic mapping, did a serach and nothing came up. My friend got his VCi-300 this week so I could try to "re-invent" the wheel so to speak with this unit. From what I have seen so thus far, its pretty solid unit, I cheer for the platter size and not the tiny jogs like the RMX. I do video mixing so I need a dependable midi-controller to control both audio/video fading.

I couldn't post the original code so you have to copy the below into notpade and replace all the ^ symbols with < then save the file with whatever .xml name you want like vci300.xml then load it into the midi config in VDJ.

nevermind wife wont let me have both the vci-300 and ns7 says i will ignore one

i honestly was would only look towards the vci-300 if you plann to run itch. No one has yet to confirm that it works 100% with all the hacks to get it to run on other softwares

but nothing is wrong with itch.... just not for me at the moment (when other options are around the corner)

It's still not hundred percent and i am still using the MIDI Translator, scratching is not as "tight" as using Itch itself. I would suspect that unless VDJ has an the addition of 14 bit midi, it will always still be a little lacking on the scratching side. Using it as a jog on the other hand it works very well IMHO.
 
need to use vdj with vestax-300 since i do vids.
Aww..... mon....14bit... that means that vdj would have to change their core program or something?

A lot of mountains to climb with the vestax-300 but .... i am not giving up hope
 
i would if you plan on using with vdj :) ...... mainly due to lack of buttons you will be using the keyboard alot. thus the price of vci-300 vs benifits are not good... get a good sound card and the vci-100 and you can do just about the same or more

I would agree here too and I have a VCI-300
 
I have my Vci300 and I am very happy with it ... for the moment I can work with Itch , but is a good software . I am waiting for work with Vdj ...it would be perfect .
