Topic: first mobile newyears

ok so when i have worked newyears i have worked at a club that i was familiar with the crowd and was a joint effort....

this year as some know i got a job with a mobile crew. I was just asked to do a new years spot at a club i have never been to. Any general new years pointers will be greatly apriciated. I dont need to worry about the crowd ect cause the guy in charge matched me with the club cause he knew what i would play.... what i need to know is just the general rundown ... any songs needed to play...count down tips ect

daft as it sounds but keep an eye on that clock throughout the night, let everyone know periodically how long is left and they will realise it is you who is the official countdown master and not some geek in their group, heard it happen little groups having their own countdown celebration, drove a mate crazy one year.

run text2d clock on screens and that should cure it though.
 
yeah i already plane some time related songs even a sample from kool moe dee;s song do you know what time it is

worry about everything , and you'll suffer many fewer unfortunate surprises .........
 
ok sorry that was stated wrong ... i mean i dont need responses about dealling with and reading the crowd. That is the one reason why i am I dj if there is one strong point i have it is that..... this post was mainly for the technical points and tips
 
Hey sirkit, being from the Nati myself, I'm curious to know what club you are playing new years at. I am probably taking this one off so I might need a good place to party.
 
CROSSFADE --- tabby's not sure which location there are 2 going out to the one in mason by the beach water park tonight... another last minute call. after the new year i will try to hook you up with this company they seem to be short handed
 
actually not sure where i am going to go...i guess i impressed them so they want to send me to a bigger gig........
