Just a general question-
For mixing with software only, can you use a computer with 7.1 and 8.1 surround sound capabilites (splitting the output to speakers and headphones) the same way you do with a 4.1 or a 5.1 card?
I use RMX, but a friend wants to know before making the purchase- they just want to use it for home mixing without TCV or RMX.

VDJ works with any sound card. It just has to be windows or mac supported.
