Hi. I was fairly dumb and threw down a lot of money for equipment that I never really researched. Now I have two CDJ-800 and a DJM-800 sitting in my basement unused. So, I wanted to be sure that this works before I threw down more money.
I want to hook up my equipment to my Macbook. I'm thinking of getting a Maya 44 and Virtual DJ. Most of what I've learned I've gathered from this thread. http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/90243/Hardware_Technical_Support/Cdj_800_s.html
My question comes from looking at this picture. http://www.virtualdj.com/image/oldblog/3/1/image.jpg
I assumed the timecode cd is used by Virtual DJ to determine what speed and where the track is. Why would my CDJs split and output to my mixer? Shouldn't all the music be coming from the computer?

I guess this is more hardware than Mac related. Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
