Topic: Weird BPM stuff going on in the 60/120 area

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I have found that a lot of tracks that are close to either 60 BPM or 120 BPM have the wrong BPM detected - often by just a little bit. One example is that of "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani. The track is snapped to 120.00 BPM. However, VDJ thinks that it is 120.31. The old BPM engine got this track right - I am sure of this. But the new one does not. Why is this happening? This is a big annoyance, as it's doing this it other tracks I know are a certain BPM, but VDJ finds them to be different.

Any answer? Anything at all? Nothing from support?

I understand the team are working on blips like this, don't know if it will make a difference to you but have you set your BPM settings in config-options .

in VDJ options there is an option to allow music below 80BPM

Most of us mix music above 80BPM, but if you have slower music, you can choose to allow under 80

According to Mixmeister, Rune, changing the BPM engine to the allow under 80 would not work in this case. My Virtual DJ has his example song, The Sweet Escape, as a 120.2 bpm. However as you can see from my screen shot, Mixmeister analyzed the song at 119 BPMs. Your solution would not work......

Wasnt reffering to Sweet Escape.. VDJ detecting it at 120 is nothing do do with..

Was reffering to the users statement about having tracks at 60bpm

But that isnt what the OP was saying, he was saying that the files he has that are 120 are coming up as 120.xx instead of 120, same as the ones that are 60.xx

checked my Sweet Escape..

Works perfecly at 120 as detected by VDJ here

Mine comes up as 120.3.
