Can I run a wireless mic with my mk2

I have a wireless mic can I connect into the mk2 instead of my mixer

am getting to much feedback with my mixer and after research it looks to be a common problem

Theoretically, you could plug a wireless into the MK2, but they are notorious for very low mic levels and you might end up with distortion by the time you've set the gain high enough.

Hi Juan
I have plugged a wireless mic in to my MK2 while messing around with karaoke tunes at home, but as discjockeydoctor says, the levels are low and it's a bit of a fine tuning excercise not to get it distorting.

I'd say that if you are already using an external mixer with your MK2, it would proabably be the best bet to keep running the mic through that, and maybe look at other means of getting around your feedback problems.

Depends on the wireless mic. I used one today with my RMX, it was a Shure PGX series. I have used several different wireless mics in my time as a DJ, these mics are HOT!!! Even with the Db set -10 it is still one smokin' hot mic. Or, you can purchase a mic pre-amp, something like this. Almost any mic would work with your MKII then....

good job Teary .... that ART is great and just $70

uuuuhhhhh just outta curiosity why use the herc for that when you have the mixer ??

I have never had a successful gig while using the mic. I cant recall what mic..... I have but it cost me about 120.00 for one mic.

I have ran into several blogs about the mixer and the only complaint is that you get feedback when using the mic. Mixer is Behringer VMX-1000
