Topic: Hercules RMX no soundcard option Vista

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi All

I have recently upgraded from XP to Vista and needed to reinstall my Hercules RMX and Virtual DJ. I've installed all the lastest drivers

I've now come across a problem where I can't select the Hercules as my soundcard under '2 soundcards' in Virtual DJ.

I checked in my sound settings in the control panel and it doesn't show the Hercules RMX

Screenshot 2: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k151/slamminuk/01-1.jpg

I then checked under the recording tab and the Hercules was there............Is this right??

Screenshot 3: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k151/slamminuk/02-1.jpg

I checked under properties and it says that it is a 'Generic USB Audio'

Screenshot 4: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k151/slamminuk/03.jpg

Before anyone jumps on me and asks me why I want to use 2 soundcards, this is because I'm using my 5.1 speakers (X-Fi card) on my PC and using the Hercules for the headphones (cueing the next track)

thanks in advance

The drivers dont install corrently. Go to Panel Control - System - Device Manager look for Hercules RMX with a yellow triangle, double click, update drivers, set manually the hercules rmx installation folder where the drivers are, normally C:/Program Files/Hercules RMX. Update your drivers and now the system must recognize the drivers and VirtualDJ aswell.

Is your procedure is correct the yellow triangle is not there and the drivers are corectly instaled.

This problem will ocurr in the future windows 7 OS.

Im testing the hercules rmx under windows 7 64 bits beta.

The RMX works like pure black granite from mars under this future windows.

Best regards from Málaga-Spain

So everything in Device Manager is seen correctly as described in this document from the Hercules support site?

http://ts.hercules.com/faqs/eng/her_eng_00350.pdf

Do you have access to the DJ Console control panel ?

If so , what information do you have in the ABOUT tab ?

There lies the problem, on that document it shows the Hercules RMX under the 'Playback Tab'. Where as mine is under the 'Recording Tab'

This is what it displays in the DJ Console:

Actually don't worry I have just figured it out.

I right click in the 'Playback Tab' and clicked 'show disabled devices' and hello there it was, so I just enabled it!! woop woop.

Thanks all for helping.
