And, NO, I don't like most of the transitions that are included with VirtualDJ - they look like garbage. The fade/strobe/satellite boom are the only ones that actually look good. Mostly they look, as I said, unprofessional and basic.

Wait a second - hold up here. jrick, you work for Atomix and you DON'T KNOW what the transition is supposed to do? Are you kidding me? Aren't you supposed to know the details of the product you're supporting?

Seems you don't know either ... are you just activating the effect? Or are you setting the RGB levels for the granularity of the RGB Alpha mixing that you want to use ... before you activate it?

You are free to suggest new ones or heaven forbid create your own you know ;)
Several of my contributed transitions have been based on ideas supplied by people for what they want.

I know exactly what it does. I have done EVERYTHING to try to make it works, and the same thing, as I described before, continues to happen. I have used a machine where the transition works properly - so I've seen it in action. If I didn't, I'd probably just think that what it is currently doing is the transition and that's it and I wouldnt be complaining. But I know what it does. And no matter what, the same thing always happens.
So yes, I know _exactly_ how it is supposed to work and how it does not work that way.

I don't mean this as an offense, so don't get me wrong. But I've can't use most of them because they simply just don't look very professional. If this makes sense - many look like they've been done in MS Paint as opposed to Photoshop and Illustrator - that's the level of quality I see.

Go on then instead of being so coy.

Ok so here is a video ... I replaced the audio with a piece from YouTube to avoid the music police ... so mute the audio and just watch ...
I just took 2 videos with 8 beat loops and then started playing with transitions from deck to deck ... the last 30sec or so I left the video crossfader at 50% and moved the RGB values ... the end result is - the transition WORKS.

That's great. I know that is what it supposed to do. But it doesn't work for me like that. It doesn't work for me, and there's others that it doesn't work for me. My computer is certainly powerful enough and the graphics card can certainly handle the effect.
You can see for yourself. I am bringing it across (and back and forth) for the first bit, and then after I just place the crossfader on one side and move the individual faders. Pardon the audio, the record video function on VDJ isn't very functional for me either.
