Alright guys....I'm frustrated and need some assistance/step by step instructions here is what im trying to do:
Im using virtual vinyl with 2 turntables and a 3-channel mixer.
Now im doing video with this setup and was using my total control on the side... custom mapped JUST to crossfade the video "THAT'S IT"
but what i want to do is eliminate my need for the TC and use the keyboard to crossfade JUST THE VIDEO from 1 deck to the other without interfering with the internal mixer because remember it needs to stay in the middle for the timecode setup..
Can someone plz give step by step on how to do this? I've tried to map it to a key but it was not successful please make sure you give as many details as possible to avoid confusion down to witch keys are free as well would help.
Thanks

First - DISABLE the Internal Mixer's Crossfader -- this is the standard for use with external mixers ... Config -> Options tab -> Crossfader -> Disabled.
Second ... create 2 keyboard shortcuts like the < and > keys are good choices (Don't do SHIFT + , or SHIFT + . ). So basically you are assigning the , [comma] (<) to " auto_crossfade on deck 1 " and . [period] (>) to " auto_crossfade on deck 2 "
To do this open the Config -> Keyboard shortcuts tab ..
Click ADD
Press the respective key -> , or .
Select MIXER from the first column
Select auto_crossfade from the second column
Bottom right area the drop-down select 'deck 1' for the comma (,) and 'deck 2' when you assign the period (.)
OK to set each setting.
** repeat the steps for the other key **
Now this only works well if you keep the Video crossfader LINKED to the Internal Mixer crossfader. It will provide a smooth transition. Can't get the smooth transition using the video_crossfader its self.
