Hello,
I know that there are a lot topics about this subject,
but I'm having problems with my headset, with previewing a song.
I tryd almost every option in the config to let the prelisting work, but it doesn't. I hear the same music in my headset as in the boxes. Also if i am previewing I hear the song that i want to previewing in my left ear and the other one in my right ear. The same is with the boxes.
Is it because my soundcard, or...?
I have a Medion MD8808 computer, soundcard; Realtek High Definition Audio.
I've put my boxes in the backside of the computer 'Line Out', and my headset in the front of the computer.
(sorry for my bad english)
Thank You,
Ronny

Year, it depends on your soundcard..... I had also the same problem....
So what you have to du is to switch to 4.0 or 5.1 speaker system in the config of the card.. Turn off all effects too.
then switch in VDJ to headset, 4.0 speaker, fl,fr are the speakers; rl,rr are the headset. ;)

This is very easy to sort as i have been using the realtek hd audio with earphones for a long time.
Just so you no it will not work on your front audio panel on your computer as that will just disable you back line out or just play the same as what is coming out.
I will explain in a few easy steps.
1. Go to realtek website and download latest driver for the realtek hd audio which at present is Version R2.22.
2. Once installed you will get a little orange speaker picture next to your clock on your taskbar
3.Plug your speakers into the line out on the back of your computer and a little box will pop up asiking you what you have pluged in select line out.
4. Now plug your earphones into the line in socket on the back of the computer (The Blue one) the same box will pop up asking you what you have pluged in select line out again.
5. Now double click the orange speaker sign next to your clock to open the Realtek control panel find the option where you can change from 2ch speakers and change it to 4ch speakers and click ok.
6. Now open the virtual dj config panel and got to sound tab. Select outputs as headphones. Select sound card(s) as 4.1. Then selct your primary sound card as your realtek HD Audio then click ok to finish.
And thats it Job Done

Thank you for your help, but it is still not working.
ok let me explain,
I installed the new driver, then the little orange speaker came.
Then i plugged my speakers in the FRONT OUT. (you sayd line out but i don't have that one), there DIDN'T came any pop up.. then i plugged my headset in the line out, again no pop up came.
I selected 4ch speakers, sound was coming out of my boxes but not out of my headset.
What am i doing wrong ?

No probs mate. The best way is to buy a external sound card as the headphones dont go very loud when plugged into the Realtek HD Audio.
I would recommend the numark DJ IO This is a great one or if you want one a bit cheaper get the trust 5.1 External Surround Sound Card SC-5500p they are also good but dont have asio drivers but they are easy to setup with virtual dj.
