So far, just a test drive on my media system this pup sounds very nice.
The Net Search is very very VERY cool.
Did I say very?
I just checked for two tracks I could have used this past weekend and it worked.
Now we need Mix lab skin :)
Oh, just one thing - does net search download or just play the file where it is found?
This WILL be used for my event this coming Saturday!
Just hope the DMC-1 is not too much impacted.

Sound quality is also very much improved. And looks like I can use my fav skins still.
But w/o trying out, will the pern DMC/DAC mappers behave as before or will I need to map my own?

Old mapping is replace by the new customizable Mapper system ... Config -> Mappers ...
You can read more about it in the manual and about the VDJScripting here ->http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VDJscript.html

Yes, but I think it will need another one year of waiting because vers 4 is not out and was started one year ago... Maybe better to look for another good skinner...
BTW, old skin 3.x is not compatible with VDj6 :-(

Joy :)
Just when I spent 18 months getting used to Pern's mapper - before that, PCDJ RED.
Maybe I won't be using at all b/c the time to setup the way Pern did it.
But still, loving it.

I'm using the Mix lab skin with VD6. You can't get the Serato looking option but its working good so far... The only issue was that I had to set a couple of keyboard shortcuts as they didn't transfer over with the update for some strange reason.
Yes, I agree that VDJ staff and clavel did an excellent job on this release! Bravo. This was worth the wait! Muy Bueno.
I also would like to urge skinners or VDJ staff to update Mixlab ASAP. There's enough users who use this skin that it should be updated; it would be a great service to users.
Now, I just have to test my DN S1200's with the new VDJ 6 and I'll be happy!
Cuidate!

They are saved in a 'cache' folder as VDJ proprietary files. I am thinking encrypted like VIX.
In otherwords, only play in VDJ.

Ok cool. I didn't expect like free downloads but I couldn't get my mind wrapped around this what-so-ever. So I tested this after I posted last night.
Found a song. Cache it and it shows up as if it were a track and plays. Turned off my internet and it played. Rebooted my computer and left off the internet and IT PLAYED!!!!
I gotta say that this is one cool feature. It will NEVER replace getting the song but playing a club or worse a wedding/mobile gig and needing a random song that you might never need again (for me a country song) this will solve that need.
Great job VDJ Crew!!
