Topic: vdj6 & dac-2 bpm display

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Are all of the previous dac-2 mappers obsolete with version 6? My Dac-2 works, but I noticed after upgrading to 6, the bmp display on the controller has disappeared.

Any way to add the bpm display back or can we use previous mappers? If so, where do I install the dac2mapper.dll file to? What folder do I extract it to.

Thanks anyone.
Love Vdj ...such a relief after using cd's for years.

Same here entire dac2 display is blank.

To answer my own question above. It would appear that ver 6 does not recognize any downloaded plugin mappers except it's own native "built-in" one for the Dac-2.
I put the .dll file into >plugin>control device, and it's not recognized in vdj.

I love the mapper for the DAC-2 4.2, that "halo_djk" posted. Excellent work. Thank you.

I'll switch back to verson 5.2.1 until there's a new mapper or until ver 6 can read the existing mapper.

The native one in the program doesn't even like to acknowledge that my dac is hooked up half the time. And 75% of the functionality is now missing from the controller.

Things take time to get ironed out...i acknowledge that...just posting to let the developers know what tweaks need tweaking :)

Make the native mapper like vers mapper VJ 4.2 It's great.

Thanks

The new mapper engine has been desgined so YOU can make the changes yourself.

Check out the manual and other posts on the forums about mapping your own controller. =)

I got trial PC to "see" my DAC2, all the maps can be made using the map setting! Thats great! I got my DAC2 to do what I want it to do

Wherre do you go add hardware controllers? i cant find the controller tab

@ DDibbern

It depends what version you are using. In Version 6, you only need to plug your controller in and VDJ will recognise it.

Personally i use the DAC3 controller. VDJ 6 has native support for this controller (ie it's already mapped) so it's automatically recognised.

Version 5 you go into the remote control tab and activate your particular controller by right clicking on the icon.

Earlier versions you can download mappers from here and put them into the correct folder on your system.

The new version also offers users the ability to map their own devices if it's not natively supported. However, if, like me, you're not too hot on mapping your own device, either stick with the older versions or take the time to learn about the mapping engine.

I must be honest when i tell you that i prefer the old DAC3 mapper to the new version, hence i've stayed with version 5 of the program. It just works and that's what i'm so used to. I think a few of the DAC3 users are the same. Not that i'm complaining...i just don't have the time to sit and work it all out...:o|

Anyway...off on a tangent there...sorry!!! What version are you using?

Keep spinnin'...(",)

I know how to do it in v 5, but I must disagree with you my friend.....

I am running 6 on my MacBook Pro, and I plug in my Numark Total controll AND I have tried my Numark DMC2 as well, and nothing. the total controll will not power up and the DMC2 has no controll on the Mac. I just got rid of my 2 POS Dell's to get another MacBook, and now they dont seem to be working well with 6 and controllers. Any Advice?

Are you using the MAC verison? Cos there isn't a version 6 for the mac as yet. guess you're doing a dual boot thingy and running VDJ from windows?

Obviously that's just guess work. Tell us what you're using and someone will be able to help, no worries.

all is great on my DAC2. I am only missing the outerwheel command to do searches on the song loaded.
