Hy bryan,
What server do you mean?
There are two ways for broadcast with VDJ!
1)Broadcast from your own PC/Notebook
In this case your PC/Notebook is the Radiostation. No need for a server.
You must only enable Port8000 for your PC/Notebook IP-Adress on your Internet Router!
Then give the displayed Adress http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/8000.mp3 to your friends or listeners.
They must open the urls with Winamp or MediaPlayer.
But keep in your mind, you can only allow a confined count of listeners to your session.
The simplest calculation is :
Your Upload connection speed divided by the high of your wanted streaming quality
500 kbps Upload speed
/128 kbps wanted streaming quality
=3,9
So I would say, you can 3 listeners invite to your session!
2) Broadcast to a Server
You get this informations from the Radio Station you where working for.
Or, you rent a server from a internet provider and install on them a Radio Station Software.
But ask the provider, how high is the specified performance (upload) for you.
see you
