So check this out...
If I have my screen resolution on my laptop set to the max 1440 x 900 with the VDJ 6.0 Pro (Widescreen) and with regular VDJ 6.0 Pro skin maximized with Performances set to "best quality" my CPU usage is constantly spiking and staying around 30 to 40 % and this is when the program is idle. If I run the skin unmaximized CPU usage is 0-2% when idle. Only downside to this is the skin doesn't take up the full screen. I am used to it taking up the full screen and really enjoy having all the real estate covered.
If I change the screen resolution to 1280 x 800 with the skin maximized it still runs constantly 30 to 40% but only 0-2% when not maximized.
With a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and the skin maximized CPU usage is 0 to 2%.
The laptop specs are Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 @ 2.00GHz, 998MHz, 2.00 GB of RAM.
Do I need to tweak anything? Both cpu's are checked when it comes to affinities.
I like running VDJ full screen as I can see better. :-) I'm already wearing glasses.

If your resolution is 1440x900, I recomend you you the modified default skin by cstoll
