i think guys i will be a registered user with a bit of luck by the end of the week. i purchased a hercules mp3 and am waiting for it to arrive. the guy i purchased it from hasnt registered the software. so with a bit of luck and a few mails here and there i may be joining the ranks of REGISTERED USER :D :D :D
im not sure however vhich version it would be but could someone please tell me, if its Virtual dj and i become registered i know i can upgrade for a lesser price. BUT what if its atomix mp3 or another of the Atomix releases?? would i be able to still purchase a VDJ upgrade for the lower price.

think it may be best if you got a reply from a mod or above on that one mate... and welcome to the club

yeah ive mailed them and am waiting for a reply. i hope there is something that can be done. im a bit strapped for cash at the moment and this unregistered software is a god send. especially if it allows me to become a fully fledged VDJ user.

Hi mate
As Tayla suggests it would be worth checking with a moderator on that. but wait and see what you get with the Herc first and get your software registered.
How are you getting on with putting the rest of your kit together?

im almost there all i need now is my sound card, which the wife is buying me for my early BDay gift sometime this week. some timecode vynals and some leads. so not doing too bad up to now.
oh and theres a couple of speakers for my sound system that need fixing. :( i have a Technics SH DV290 hifi which the father in law screwed over when we moved house. the dumb (beep beep beep) decided that instead of cutting the cable ties off that held the speaker cable in place and saving the phono socket on the other end, to cut the speaker cable about 3 inches from the rear of the speaker. so now i have to fix them. not a difficult task but it shouldnt be necessary EVER to cut a fixed cable.
oh and i still have a reminder on my phone to mail you on the 27th.

Glad to hear that your getting there.
When I get back ime going to have a bit of a sort out in the store If I come across anything else that could be usefull for you ile let you know. I passed on my speaker system to a mate before I came out to Saudi for the first time and got a new rig out here but still should have some CD units, amps and possibly some older lighting stuff kicking around . I would rather the spare stuff went to someone who would use it than having it collecting dust or getting chucked out.

wow awesome man any help will be greatly appreciated and i will make good use of any items. how is it in soudi? and what do you do there. my uncle lived there for a while before moving to bahrain and then onto Dubai. he works as some sort of security systems designer for airports. i always recall him saying there are very few roads in saudi and you basically make your own way where ever you want to drive., well in some parts anyway.

My day job out here is working on Flight Simulators. There are plenty of roads but the drivers out here are nuts. Real life in your hands stuff.
I live and work in a city called Jeddah (about the size of Glasgow).
My system out here is a small, ish 5000W sound rig for DJ and band support at the weekends. Mainly for private clients and the local British and US consulates.
Only intend to be out here for another year and then come back to the UK. I will have done a 4 year stint by then and want to come back to concentrate on my DJ and sound system work. Its more fun. I have stayed in touch with most of the venues I used to work with and do the odd guest slot if I can when back on holls. Every time I do, it reminds me of what ime missing. Especialy the beer.lol.
Anyhoo once again due to the time diference out here its nearly 2am and time to crash.
All the best

Hi, if the guy have not registered the software, then you could register it thus becoming a limited edition user.
The version will be most likely came with the v3xx but u may get the update to v3.4.1 once you registered;)
The software is actually a gift to you and you did not purchase the software and you purchase the hardware.
The software will only work with the console attached etc.
Yes you can have the upgrade discount when you upgrading to pro version.
If you have any question, you may ask here;)
Regards;)
PS: If it is found that the previous user have registered, i would advised you to get a refund and look into the first hand/new one instead;)

i think its very unlikely that the guy registered it, as when i asked himm if he registered it, his reply was, " just stuck the disk in your PC and enter the code on the back and your ready to go" so on that alone i can see that he hasnt registered with the community, just activated the product with the key.

i would still ask the question though to the seller just to be on the safe side, will be a lot harder to get your money back if it's in his pocket.

i already paid and i think recieved it too! there is a parcel at home for me i just need to go get it. the guy thought when i asked him if he registered the software, that i wanted to know if it was a genuine copy.
i asked him if he became part of the comunity but i have no reply yet. i dont think he did register it with the comunity because it would seem he is quite new to dj'ing too. when the missus goes home later ill pick it up and let you guys know.
if it is unregistered then its deffo worth the £55 i paid for it even if i do get V3.xx i will gladly pay the upgrade price as it would be in my current price range without me having to save. which is always a bonus because im crap at saving. lol.
watch this space ill post again later with the gorey bits.

geposted Tue 16 Jun 09 @ 3:36 pm

basically the guy would have known he couldn't pass his serial on... just put it down to a lesson learned, no point in busting a blood vessell over him, lol, doubt he give you your money back but you could try.
geposted Tue 16 Jun 09 @ 6:18 pm
to be fair im not too bothered anyway, it would have been a bonus for definite. ill just wait for a reply to my support ticket andsee if there is anything that can be done or offered. if not then ill just have to start saving.
