The answer would be yes, any sound that uses ASIO drivers will work.

Asio is universal and certain cards work better with certian programs. I would stick to what works better with virtual dj than just getting any sound card. Some cards give alot of usb drop outs and you dont want that. The Torq connectiv is really good, the Serato sound card is really good and the Maya 44 is OK.
